WINTER IS COMING: Upcoming Additions to the Site…

TOASTANDTELEVISION UPDATES ARE COMING…

There are a lot of new features coming to the blog.  I feel pretty bad that the majority of my recent posts have all been focused on “American Horror Story: Coven”, and not much else, but luckily that’s about to change.  In the coming weeks, the site will hopefully have a new design, and a lot of new television coverage.  I’ll start covering “Arrow” with this week’s episode “The Scientist”, I’ll also be reviewing TNT’s new series “Mob City”, “Supernatural”, “Blacklist”‘s mid-season finale, and “Mindy Project”.  Of course there’ll still be the occasional comic book coverage, and coming today is a film review for “Hunger Games: Catching Fire”.  So stay tuned.

    1. I haven’t actually, though I’ve heard excellent things about it. I just checked Netflix and it doesn’t seem to be on there, would Season Three be a good place to jump in? I love Amy Acker, and I’m pretty sure it’s on at a time where I don’t have any other shows on, so I’d definitely be willing to give it a shot.

      1. If you jump in now, you’ll have missed a few major storylines, so it’d be a good idea to catch up; hopefully Netflix picks it up sometime. Of course, they did just finish a major arc (the last three episodes were brilliant, so you should find a way to at least watch those), so I think now might be a good time to jump in. The show’s become much more serialized now, though.

There won’t be another new episode until December 17, but this week, they’re re-airing “Relevance”, which is an essential–not to mention flawlessly directed–episode that will help fill in some of the blanks for you. It plays off all of the show’s strengths. It’s also the first episode for Sarah Shahi’s Samantha Shaw, and she’s become an important character. Hopefully they re-air some more important episodes; CBS has always been great about airing repeats that will help a new viewer jump in to the current story more easily.

As for Amy Acker, she’s awesome here as well.
